About this wine

Domaine Dupasquier et Fils farms vines in Nuits-Saint-Georges, next door to its home village of Premeaux-Prissey, and this 2023 village red is pure Pinot Noir from clay-limestone soils. Fermented traditionally in stainless-steel vats, it then goes to barrel for malolactic fermentation and ageing, with bottling after about 18 months. It is full-bodied and powerful, with blackcurrant, redcurrant and white pepper; rather closed in youth, it grows complex and elegant over ten to fifteen years in the cellar.

Domaine Dupasquier et Fils is a family estate in Premeaux-Prissey, just south of Nuits-Saint-Georges, founded in 1900 and now run by the fifth generation. Its ten hectares lie in four villages (Aloxe-Corton, Pernand-Vergelesses, Premeaux-Prissey and Nuits-Saint-Georges), yielding eleven wines from regional Bourgogne up to Premier Cru, from grassed, ploughed vineyards certified HVE.
