About this wine

Dow's 2018 LBV comes from the same two quintas as its Vintage Ports, trodden in lagares at each winery. A wet spring and cool summer cut yields, but a hot August brought the crop back on track. Blackberry and blueberry with a streak of mint; substantial black forest fruit and plum, peppery tannins and fine acidity, ending in tobacco, tea and Dow's dry finish. Bottled ready to drink.

Dow's is a Port house whose wines have been made by the Symington family since Andrew James Symington became a partner in 1912. Its Ports come from the Quinta do Bomfim and Quinta da Senhora da Ribeira vineyards in the Upper Douro, and the house is known for a drier style.
