About this wine

Monte Velho is Esporão's “Alentejo in a glass,” made from grapes grown by partners across the region who farm without herbicides or pesticides. The 2020 blends Touriga Nacional, Aragonez, Syrah and Trincadeira, fermented in stainless steel. Clear ruby; black fruit and wild berries with fresh spice, then an intense, rich palate with a solid structure.

Esporão is based at Herdade do Esporão in Portugal's Alentejo. Its Reserva red, first made in 1985, comes from the estate's organic grapes, while Monte Velho draws on long-standing grower partners across the region.
