About this wine
Gaja’s 2021 Barbaresco, the family’s flagship since 1859, brings together Nebbiolo from 14 vineyards in the municipality of Barbaresco, set between 250 and 330 metres on vines averaging 40 years old. Each vineyard’s grapes are fermented and aged separately in oak for 12 months, then blended and aged another 12 months in oak. Fruit leads, with citrus and floral hints, and the juicy palate brings licorice, cherry and strawberry.
