About this wine
Jean-Louis Grande Réserve 2020 is a southern Rhône red built around Grenache, Syrah and Mourvèdre. Fruit from Plan de Dieu contributes depth to the Côtes du Rhône blend, while concrete-vat fermentation and extended concrete ageing preserve a vivid, structured profile. Expect red and black fruit, earthy nuances and fine tannins, with a savory garrigue thread recalling thyme and bay leaf. Its juicy shape makes it equally suited to a shared table or a relaxed glass.

from the producer
Jean Louis Canto has led Domaine de la Roncière, a Châteauneuf-du-Pape estate, since 1979. His Jean-Louis Grande Réserve project focuses on Côtes du Rhône fruit from the Plan de Dieu cru, where lean, stony Rhône sites are associated with concentrated reds. The range emphasizes traditional concrete-vat work and southern Rhône grape varieties.
- 85% Grenache, 10% Syrah and 5% Mourvèdre shape this southern Rhône red.
- Concrete-vat fermentation includes 60% whole clusters and 12 months of concrete ageing.
- Plan de Dieu fruit and sustainable farming bring Rhône character to the 2020 cuvée.
