About this wine

A mature Viña Ardanza from an ideal growing season with no disease and a dry September. Most of the Tempranillo came from the 30-year-old Viña Ardanza estate in Fuenmayor, the Garnacha from Ausejo and Tudelilla in Rioja Baja. After fermentation in steel it spent 36 months in American oak averaging four years old, racked by hand six times, and was bottled in March 2004 — the first Ardanza also offered in magnum. The winery's later note described a cherry-red wine with orange tints whose bouquet keeps gaining in bottle.
