About this wine
Marchese Antinori Chianti Classico Riserva, a historic Antinori label, has been made since the 2011 vintage exclusively from the Tignanello vineyard between the Greve and Pesa valleys, almost entirely Sangiovese with a little of other varieties. The 2022, from a hot, dry summer relieved by mid-August rain, fermented in steel, aged about a year in French and Hungarian barriques and a further 12 months in bottle. Antinori notes black cherry, violet and rose, vanilla and cocoa, a lively, mouth-filling palate with supple tannins and a long, sapid finish.
