About this wine
Montalbera is a family estate in Monferrato. Its classic Grignolino d'Asti DOC is made from Grignolino grown around Castagnole Monferrato and Montemagno.
The wine is made in the traditional red-wine way and aged only in steel. Grignolino is naturally pale, and the winery notes that its light ruby color takes on orange tints after about 18 months in bottle. This is the 2012 vintage.
