About this wine

Monte Antico Toscana is a polished Tuscan red built around Sangiovese, supported by Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. Fruit from Maremma, Colline Pisane, Colli Fiorentini and Chianti brings together varied limestone, clay and galestro soils. Fermentation at controlled temperature, extended skin contact and oak maturation shape its medium-to-full body. Expect a supple, silky texture, ripe red-fruit character and nuanced violet, vanilla, leather and plum notes, with fresh acidity giving the finish definition.

Monte Antico was founded in 1975 by Neil and Maria Empson with Tuscan winemaker Franco Bernabei. Their label is a long-running tribute to Tuscany, sourcing grapes from a broad network of vineyards across the region. The project centers on Sangiovese, complemented by carefully proportioned international varieties for added color, texture and structure.
