About this wine
Osvaldo Viberti's 2013 Mancine is a Barbera d'Alba Superiore from Santa Maria in La Morra, Piedmont. Fruit from a south-west-facing, clay-limestone vineyard gives this red a dark, concentrated profile, while six to seven days of fermentation and 12 to 14 months in oak shape its structure. Expect expressive red-fruit character, graceful texture and a fresh, energetic line. It suits Piedmont-inspired meals, from egg pasta and risotto to roasted red meats.
