About this wine
Pelissero’s 2011 Tulin is a Barbaresco DOCG named after the Cascina Tolino vineyard in the villages of Treiso and Neviglie, planted partly in 1950 and partly in 2001. The Nebbiolo macerates on the skins for about 15 days in temperature-controlled steel, then rests 18 to 20 months in wood: about half in 50-hectolitre oak casks and half in barriques. It spends nine more months in bottle before release. Expect ample, fruity, mineral aromas and a palate that pairs Nebbiolo’s austerity with saltiness and a velvety, enveloping texture.

Pelissero is a Treiso winery whose first wine dates to 1960. Its vineyards surround the estate in Augenta, a Langhe setting with wide views over the hills. The house’s Tulin bottling takes its name from the vineyard that supplies it, carrying forward the estate’s Barbaresco Annata tradition under the Tulin name since 2001.
