About this wine
Ridge first made Lytton Springs in 1972 from turn-of-the-century vines, and 2022 marks its fiftieth bottling. It is an old-vine field blend led by Zinfandel with Petite Sirah, Carignane and Alicante Bouschet, organically grown and fermented on native yeasts, then aged sixteen months in air-dried American oak. Drought and a May frost trimmed yields, but Ridge reports rich fruit, ample acid and firm tannin — approachable young and set to evolve for ten to fifteen years.

Geyserville, first made in 1966, is its longest continuous Zinfandel, and the winery is known for minimal-intervention winemaking with native yeasts and for listing every step it takes on each label.
