About this wine
Operaundici is Gianni Moscardini’s Sator blend from the Montescudaio hills of coastal Tuscany: half Sangiovese, with Ciliegiolo and Teroldego making up the rest in equal parts. Each plot is picked by hand and vinified and aged separately, fermenting with indigenous yeasts. The Sangiovese and Teroldego then spend 18 months in oak while the Ciliegiolo rests in concrete, and the finished wine ages a further 12 months in bottle. Intense ruby, it offers small red fruits and licorice, with elegance, refinement and balance on the palate.
