Sator Sileno Ciliegiolo Toscana 2015

Sileno is Gianni Moscardini’s single-variety Ciliegiolo from coastal Tuscany. The Ciliegiolo parcels are hand-picked in two passes about ten days apart: the first goes to the estate’s rosé, while the riper second pick becomes Sileno, vinified and aged separately with indigenous yeasts at controlled temperature. Depending on the vintage, it matures in cocciopesto (terracotta-lime) vessels or French oak. Intense ruby, it smells of ripe cherry, morello cherry and strawberry, with sweet tannins, good structure and great drinkability.
