About this wine
Trevìe is Vietti’s Barbera d’Asti, drawn from the La Crena vineyards at Agliano Terme and several other hill villages around Asti. After a cold pre-fermentation soak, the grapes ferment for about two weeks in steel with frequent pump-overs, malolactic follows in barriques, and the wine ages roughly a year in barriques, large barrels and steel. Ruby red, the 2023 shows mineral and vanilla notes, a medium-bodied, dry palate with crisp acidity and soft tannins, and a red cherry finish.

Vietti was founded in the late 1800s by Carlo Vietti at the top of the medieval village of Castiglione Falletto, in the heart of the Langhe. Alfredo Currado made it a pioneer, with one of the first single-cru Barolos in 1961 and the first pure Roero Arneis in 1967. The Krause family has owned the winery since 2016.
