About this whiskey
AJ Bond is the flagship of AJ Bond Distillery in La Vergne, Tennessee, and Sazerac's first Tennessee whiskey. It is named for the bond between master distillers Allisa Henley and the late John Lunn, and is made with both pot and column stills, using corn from Batey Farms in Murfreesboro and barrels of Tennessee-grown oak.
The nose opens with wedding cake and caramel corn, butterscotch and a subtle redwood note. The palate brings baked apple and charred fruit, marzipan, powdered cinnamon and brandied cherry, with hints of cream soda and baking chocolate, and the long finish turns to savory peppercorn and chestnut honey.
