About this whiskey

The Classic Laddie is Bruichladdich's signature unpeated single malt, made from 100% Scottish barley, trickle distilled and bottled at 50% with no chill filtration or added colouring. Each batch is meant to differ subtly, shaped by the barley and casks of the year.

Barley sugar, mint and wildflowers open up to lemon, honey, tangerine and sea salt. The palate brings sweet oak, ripe green fruit, brown sugar and sweet malt, and the finish is smooth with fruit and a subtle sea spray.

Bruichladdich was built in 1881 on the shores of Loch Indaal on Islay. It was revived by a group of independent investors in 2001 and is known for questioning tradition, transparency about its barley, and for unpeated as well as heavily peated whiskies.

It is now a certified B Corporation.
