Buchanan's was created by James Buchanan, who began blending Scotch whisky in London in 1884 with the goal of making a whisky smooth enough to enjoy without water. His blend became a supplier to the House of Commons and the Royal Household.

Today Buchanan's is especially loved across Latin America and by Latino communities in the US, and its range runs from the 12 Year Old DeLuxe to older blends and flavored whiskies.
