from the producer
Colonel Edmund Haynes Taylor, Jr. was a 19th-century Kentucky distiller and politician often called the father of the modern bourbon industry. He fought for the Bottled-in-Bond Act of 1897, which guaranteed whiskey quality, and he once owned the distillery now known as Buffalo Trace.
The E.H. Taylor, Jr. collection is made at Buffalo Trace in Frankfort, Kentucky, in his honor; most bottlings are Bottled-in-Bond at 100 proof.
