from the producer
Dewar's began in 1846, when John Dewar opened a wine and spirits shop in Perth, Scotland. His sons Tommy and John Alexander turned the business into a global brand, and Dewar's was among the first to sell blended Scotch in bottles under its own name.
Dewar's is known for double aging: after blending, its whiskies are returned to oak casks to marry, for a smoother result. Aberfeldy single malt sits at the heart of the blend.
