About this whiskey
Cask 4706 is one of two single casks Glenfiddich released in 2020 as the third chapter of its Rare Collection. Malt Master Brian Kinsman hand-picks these casks from the distillery's warehouses in Dufftown. This spirit was laid down in 1975 and matured for 44 years in a European oak sherry butt.
Only 100 bottles were released, all for the United States. The whisky was bottled at cask strength without chill filtration, and each bottle is individually numbered. It comes in a handcrafted brown Italian leather box with a copper-foiled leaflet detailing the bottling.

Glenfiddich is the flagship single malt of William Grant & Sons. William Grant built the distillery in 1886, and its first spirit ran on Christmas Day 1887, driven by his wish to make the best dram in the valley. Its oldest single casks appear in the Rare Collection, first introduced in the 1990s.
