The blend is 70% traditionally aged bourbon and 30% bourbon aged in heavy-char barrels, bottled at 107 proof.

Heaven Hill was founded in 1935 by the Shapira brothers in Bardstown, Kentucky, and is America's largest independent family-owned distiller. It makes Elijah Craig, Evan Williams, Larceny and many other bourbons.

Its production center today is the Bernheim distillery in Louisville.
