Highland Park was founded in 1798 in Kirkwall on Orkney, the islands off Scotland's far north coast. The distillery still turns some of its own barley on traditional malting floors and dries it over local Orkney peat, which is rich in heather and gives a fragrant, gentle smoke.

Its whiskies are matured mainly in sherry-seasoned oak casks and celebrate the islands' Viking heritage.
