About this vodka
Ketel One is a wheat vodka made in Schiedam by the Nolet family, who have been distilling there since 1691. It pairs modern column distillation with a portion run through the family's traditional copper pot stills, a combination the brand credits for its character.
It is crisp and clean with a soft, slightly silky texture, and it suits Martinis and Cosmopolitans as well as simple highballs. The tall neck on the bottle was lengthened at their request, to make it easier to grab and pour.

The Nolet family has run its distillery in Schiedam, Holland, since 1691; Schiedam was once a spirits capital, known for its jenever. Ketel One Vodka was created in 1983 by the tenth generation of the family.
The vodka is named after the distillery's original copper pot still, Distilleerketel No. 1, pictured on the label. Every batch is still signed off by a member of the Nolet family, and the names of each family head of the distillery appear on the side of the bottle.
