About this vodka
Tito's set out to be a vodka that tastes like vodka, at a time when flavored bottles filled the shelves. Founder Tito Beveridge tried many bases before settling on American corn, which he felt gave the spirit soft, rounded edges and a crisp finish.
Instead of the column stills most big vodkas use, Tito's runs old-fashioned pot stills, the kind associated with single malt Scotch and Cognac, and tastes each batch before bottling. It is clean and neutral enough for any mixer, and smooth enough to sip ice-cold on its own.

from the producer
Bert "Tito" Beveridge, a self-taught distiller, got his permits for the first legal operating distillery in Texas and built it on 12 acres in southeast Austin, naming it Mockingbird Distillery. He sold the first case of Tito's Handmade Vodka in 1997.
The vodka is still distilled and bottled in Austin. The brand keeps a plain stock bottle, a kraft-paper label and a copper cap, and runs a large giving program, Love, Tito's, that supports nonprofits across the country.
