About this vodka
Smirnoff No. 21 is the original red-label Smirnoff. In the US it is distilled from corn three times and then filtered ten times through charcoal, which strips it down to a clean, neutral spirit.
That makes it an all-purpose mixer: it disappears into a Bloody Mary, a Cosmopolitan or a Moscow Mule without getting in the way, and it is gluten-free.

from the producer
Smirnoff dates back to 1864, when P.A. Smirnov founded the brand in Russia. After the Russian Revolution his son Vladimir relaunched it in Europe under the Anglicized family name, Smirnoff.
Today the brand belongs to Diageo and sells in more than 130 countries. Alongside No. 21, the range includes more than two dozen flavored vodkas and ready-to-drink cocktails.
