IslayLagavulin 8 Year Single Malt Scotch Whisky
Lagavulin 8 was first released for the distillery's 200th anniversary in 2016, inspired by the writer Alfred Barnard, who praised an eight-year-old Lagavulin in the 1880s. It is younger and brighter than the 16: lemon, milk chocolate and tea-scented smoke with maritime notes, then an oily, smoky, dry palate with mint chocolate.

from the producer
Lagavulin has been distilling on the south coast of Islay since 1816, beside the ruins of Dunyvaig Castle. Its slow distillation in pear-shaped stills and long aging give a rich, smoky, intensely peated single malt.
Lagavulin 16 Year Old is one of the most celebrated peated whiskies in the world.
- Islay single malt aged 8 years
- Inspired by a 19th-century account of an 8-year-old Lagavulin
- Lemon, milk chocolate and smoke
