About this whiskey
Midleton Very Rare 2023 is the 40th edition of the annual release and Kevin O'Gorman's third as master distiller. It blends aged single pot still and single grain whiskeys, with more traditional and light pot still components and more refill-cask influence.
The nose shows nectarine, melon, green apple and apricot with ginger, dried flowers, golden syrup, vanilla, honeycomb and coffee. The palate is creamy and herbal with candied orange and dried apricot, and the finish brings oak tannins and antique grain.
