About this whiskey
Old Forester 1910 recalls the year a fire stopped the bottling line, so fully matured whiskey was put into a second barrel to wait. That double barreling is recreated here: aged bourbon is finished in a second, heavily charred barrel.
Official notes: buttercream, toffee, baked apple and coffee; oatmeal-raisin cookie, cinnamon, nutmeg and mocha; a viscous, spicy, charred-oak finish.

from the producer
Old Forester was founded in Louisville in 1870 by George Garvin Brown, a pharmaceutical salesman who wanted a whiskey of consistent quality. It became the first bourbon sold exclusively in sealed glass bottles, a guarantee against tampering.
Old Forester is the only bourbon continuously sold by the same family company before, during and after Prohibition, and today it is distilled on Whiskey Row in downtown Louisville.
