About this whiskey
The Distil Your World series captures a place in a single malt. The Mexico Edition draws on Mexican food culture and the Day of the Dead celebrations.
Official notes: sugared pan de muerto, creamy vanilla, sweet pineapple, marigold and fresh coriander on the nose; an intensely sweet palate of orange oil, chocolatey mole and charred pineapple; a sweet finish with a delicate charred-coal note.

The Macallan was founded in 1824 on the Easter Elchies estate in Speyside, and was one of the first distilleries in Scotland to be legally licensed. It is known above all for its long relationship with sherry-seasoned oak: casks are made and seasoned in Jerez de la Frontera, Spain, before being shipped to Scotland to mature the spirit.
Every Macallan is bottled at its entirely natural colour, which comes only from the wood. The distillery is part of the Edrington group, and its current distillery on the estate, built into the Speyside hillside, opened in 2018.
