About this whiskey
Sweet Oak is the 2025 entry in Woodford Reserve's Master's Collection, the 21st release in a series exploring grain, maturation and wood. It was aged in rare Chinkapin oak barrels, which give bold flavor and a distinctive grain structure. Master Distiller Elizabeth McCall describes it as powerful and full-bodied while keeping Woodford's sweetness.
It is mahogany, with aromas of mulled cherries, raisins, clove and nutmeg, plus sweet leather and toasted oak. The palate is robust, with warm baking spice, sassafras, roasted walnut and black tea, and the finish lingers on oak, black tea and dried dark fruit.

Woodford Reserve is made at a Kentucky distillery whose site, now a National Historic Landmark, has been home to fine bourbon-making since 1812.
The brand describes each of its whiskeys with a flavor wheel built on five groups: grain, wood, fruit and floral, spice, and sweet aromatics. Distiller's Select is the flagship bourbon.
