About this whiskey

Woodford Reserve Rye uses 53% rye in its mash bill, a pre-Prohibition-style ratio that pays tribute to the original rye whiskeys. Spice and tobacco lead, set against fruit, floral and sweet notes for a balanced whiskey.

It is rich honey in color. The nose is spicy with rye, black pepper, cedar and cassia, softened by marzipan, with pear, apple and almond beneath. Clove, rye, mint, molasses, sorghum and honey meet hints of apple and malt on the palate, and the finish is long and sweetly spiced.
